GHS Sparta Clinic—LEED Gold Certified

The Sparta Clinic is a new replacement clinic for Gundersen Health System.  The facility LEED Gold Certified and is one of the most energy efficient medical buildings in the nation. The energy efficient construction combined with a Distributed Geothermal Heat pump HVAC system is Net Zero ready and consumes only 35kBtu/sf/yr, 35% of the energy consumption is offset with a roof-mounted 100kw photovoltaic array.

The new clinic combines several existing services into one building and significantly expands the number of providers. The clinic features 32 exam rooms, two procedure rooms, behavior health suite, radiology suite, a full-service laboratory, physical therapy with four private treatment rooms, optical exam suite with a retail dispensary and provider support offices. The room arrangement allows for a portion of family medicine can remain open for after hours and weekend care.
